Trying Xfce on FreeBSD, because Gnome and KDE are simply too big… not sure what to expect whatsoever.

How did you wind up liking it? I use Xfce on OpenSuSE 12.1 to free up some of the resources that Gnome and KDE now hog. Personally I love it. It may be tougher to make it look pretty but for all the time you spend looking at the actual desktop it’s self I think it’s blazing speed is well worth it.
